Today, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, the Iraqi National Olympic Committee - Duhok Branch organized an award ceremony at Rixos Hotel in Duhok, attended by Dr. Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok, and Dr. Ahmed Qasim Mohammed, President of the Olympic Committee - Duhok Branch, along with several government and party officials, former athletes, and sports figures.

During the ceremony, the best teams, coaches, and players at the level of Duhok Governorate and the Independent Administration of Zakho for the year 2024 were honored.

Professor Saif Mohammed Bashir Yusuf was awarded the title of Best Athletics Coach. Additionally, students Murad Ali in basketball and Shahid Hazni in weightlifting were recognized as the best players at the level of Duhok Governorate and the Independent Administration of Zakho.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Satar Jabbar Haji, Dean of the Faculty of Education, congratulated the branch president, Dr. Mohammed Mahdi, as well as the honored coaches and students, wishing them continued success and reaffirming his support for their athletic careers.
